Six new tenants will soon be moving into the American Underground, the lower level of American Tobacco’s historic Strickland and Crowe buildings. The American Underground was designed to foster collaboration and provide space for startups and small businesses. The new tenants include IDEA Fund Partners, NC IDEA, Themis Media, Smashing Boxes, Sustainable Industrial Solutions and Zetta Worldwide Tech. “Locating to the Underground and being amidst Durham’s emerging startup scene will allow us to be even more accessible and collaborative with entrepreneurs,” says David Rizzo, President and CEO of NC IDEA and Managing Partner of IDEA Fund Partners.
