Distil Networks Raises $10 Million

Distil Networks today announced that it had raised $10M in new funding co-led by Bullet Time Ventures and Foundry Group, with participation from IDEA Fund Partners and other current investors. Distil Networks has raised nearly $13M in funding since its founding in 2011. “With the nature of our product, we are always going to have to direct a lot of resources to R&D and engineering,” said Co-founder and CEO Rami Essaid. “It’s an arms race we’re going to have to stay on top of.” In conjunction with the funding announcement, the company also announced the opening of a new office in San Francisco.

Distil Networks opens Triangle office

Distil Networks has announced the opening of a new office in Raleigh. Located at HQ Raleigh in the downtown’s warehouse district, the new office has four software engineers and is expected to have 10 more by the end of the year. This a coming home of sorts for the founders of Distil Networks, as the company’s CEO and CTO attended NC State University. “What we have found is, our network is really here,” said Co-founder and CEO, Rami Essaid. “Our first three hires were people from North Carolina that we convinced to move to Virginia.”
